Event and Message Interface Integration

The information operation and monitoring center mostly uses scheduled active data collection as the basis for detection,
but there are also many situations where the information equipment actively sends data and the operation system passively collects or triggers events and forwards messages.

The types of actively sent messages are divided into several categories as follows:
➢ Sent by the host system
Mainly detects host survival status and network connection

➢ Sent by the application system
Mainly detects the status of applications within the host system or message transmission

➢ Sent by the monitoring system of the information equipment
Mainly acts as a proxy to transmit alarms and filters messages that meet conditions using logical calculations

➢ Sent by the native system of the information equipment
Mainly for long-term collection and recording, and filtering messages that meet conditions using logical calculations

➢ Directly copy the monitoring screen
When other functional monitoring systems cannot provide any interfacing information or methods but need to be included in the overall operation system monitoring

The WATCHDOG system provides specific integration functions for each of the mentioned types of message issuance.
It supports collecting alarm messages from diverse sources, such as host systems, application programs, information equipment monitoring systems, and native systems.
It also includes integration for monitoring systems that cannot directly provide interfacing information by directly copying the monitoring screen.
